我們一起來讀論文 abstract

 

繼上一次的Time for Kids 導讀(?)系列,史老師這次又要來請大家來看文章囉。

這次,是一篇論文的摘要。

沒有預設立場,史老師先請大家讀讀下面這段文字。

 

 

摘要來囉

Abstract

     English is becoming an international language by globalization. Taiwan has been moving towards learning English. The researcher as an English teacher focuses on the problem of English to reflect by investigating the reason why parents and students are crazy about studying English in Taiwan.

     In order to realize the background and environment of English, the researcher takes one school as an example to interview some students, parents and English teachers to realize and analysis the ideology of English, the phenomenon of English worship or idolization towards English itself etc. Consequently, the core element of learning English, critical pedagogy is inquired into its significance for English teaching in the classroom.

     There are six chapters in this thesis. The first two chapters deal with the hegemony of English in the world and discuss the history of English by globalization. The design of research is dealt with in the third chapter. After that, the researcher tries to deconstruct the situation of English learning and review the English politics in Taiwan in the fourth chapter.

     Finally, in order to proposer the suggestion for English education by describing the environment of students in this case. Further, reconstruct the model of English teaching in the last chapter. It is suggested that critical thinking, including abilities and teaching suggestions, should be constituted the fundamental goal for English education in Taiwan.
